Ever since the Well House collapse, Derry real estate agents have been dealing with a strange client, well, we should say clients. The people from Pennywise incorporated are looking for a giant home with plenty of plumbing. They’d like a quiet spot, that’s good for sleeping, a spacious basement, and if it’s creepy looking and run-down that’s a plus. Every time they show up to check out a potential property they look different yet unsettling. Sometimes it’s an old woman who’s asking if there are any covered wells on the property. Sometimes it’s a man with a serious case of leprosy talking about nontraditional financing. But the client that upsets Derry Real Estate more than any other is the clown that came in to sign the papers to buy the old Denrough house. Everyone got a chill. Still, at least the deal is over and done with. They won’t have to deal with it ever again.
